About Jingle Jenny

Location & Background

Jingle Jenny is the first book in a series that takes place in the rural outskirts of Cambridge Massachusetts. Al works on his neighbors farm and Jenny for a flower nursery.

Jenny Bell is a new resident of Cambridge, having recently completing her horticultural studies.

Al and Jenny are neighbors. Jenny rooms with an elderly couple and lives with his maternal grandparents.

They are opposites concerning personality traits. Jenny is outgoing and bubbly while Al is serious and an introvert.

Meet the Cast

The Heroine

Al Shepherd is the strong silent type. Mandy Patinkin as he looked in Yentel was my choice for his attributes. Okay, with more of a trim.

This picture was the closest I came to what was in my minds eye. Even this guy needs a little trim, however.

Al Shepherd was supposed to become an Equine Veterinarian. Jinxed from the age of five when a horse caused his mother’s death, he was afraid of the powerful beasts. His fear made his father’s choice of profession for him a bad fit. He defied his father and studied agriculture with the dream of farming on his own land.

He was taking his first step on the road to his dreams when his path crossed with Jenny Bell’s. After years of living in fear that he was jinxed when it came to women, he rashly took a chance on Jenny, only to watch her wind up in an accident. His fears returned full force.

Discovering his faith might not be as strong as he believed, he needed to make some changes. Will his fears keep him from exploring the possibility of love? By helping Jenny will he find the help he needs as well?

What makes my book different from books in a similar genre?

My desire is to give an opportunity for relaxation as well as inspiration. I find that in using the creativity God has given to each of us we can mirror the Creator. Therefore my books often show different ways of being creative.
